Update OS

Hi All,

I have a VM loaded with Windows server 2008, need to update the OS to Windows Server 2012 R2. I tried inserting the software into CD-drive and restarted the VM but it is not detecting it.  How can I achieve this?

First, check that the CD-ROM device is configured to connect at boot.

Second, it is likely that the hard disk is higher in the boot order than the CD-ROM drive.  Click into the VM window after powering on and hit the Escape key to bring up the boot order menu, and select the CD-ROM.
