Hello,
I was reading Vmware Workstation Pro 14 documentation, and I want to know if Unity is avaliable to use under linux host.
Scenario: I will use a linux host, with nvidia card configured, and I want to use a Vm ware Workstation to install Windows 10 latest version as guest, with Visual studio installed inside this guest, and also, I will use Adobe p[hotoshop, premiere, etc. I have 64 Gb on host ans I will configure 32 GB to do Virtual Machine, but I like to use all programs as unity View, so before I change my computer OS do linux, I want to know if Unit mode is avaliable under linux Vmware workstation pro 14 as is avaliable for windows host.
Thanks in advance.
PS: Sorry for bad english.
With VMware Workstation 14, Unity mode is not available on Linux hosts.
I use Workstation on Windows hosts but if I remember correctly Unity mode on Linux hosts has not been available since Workstation 12. If you search the forum there is a thread that discusses why the feature was droppe.
Yes, but under documentation, there is no mention about is not avaliable under Linux Hosts on version 14.
I will, try now, hope this feature is avaliable.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards.
The thread about Unity on Linux hosts is:
I am running V14 on Ubuntu host. Unity is gone.
I don't miss it much, I use 34" monitor and multiple workspaces.
Lou
did you get it to work? does this feature exist?
Hi,
As mentioned earlier in this thread. Unity support for both Linux hosts as well as Linux guests was axed in Workstation 12.
