Ok, so I know there is a known issue with VMWare Workstation and monitor DPI scaling (something to do with the latest Windows 10 release).
But is this also expected to affect Unity mode?
My experience:
Primary monitor : 27" 3840x2160 (150% scaling)
Secondary monitor : 17" 3840x2160 (200% scaling)
The primary monitor is totally fine but dragging to the secondary monitor everything is TEENY TINY and I can barely read anything.
Example (deliberately blurred) screenshots are below.
Yeh, I realised those screenshots sucked so I created ones which weren't sensitive in Notepad so I didn't have to blur them 🙂
I have the same issue with Unity mode (16.2.0) - I have been hoping for a fix for many versions now...
Laptop screen at 200% scaling, secondary monitor at 100%.
Moving a Unity window to the laptop is unusable, defeating the point of unity mode for me (multi-monitors)
There is some solution for windows 10 (guest):
1. Ctrl+shift+U (with started vm in unity mode)
2. Programs -> Settings -> System -> Display
3. Change the scale for each detected monitor as you want to
I don't know how this post hasn't been given the credit it deserves. Thank you!
