Understanding BIOS settings in a VM running under VMware workstation

Hi All,

I need some assistance. I want to test VDI that runs on Hyper-V.

I have VMware workstation and I have installed Win Server 2008 R2 in a VM. However, I can't install Hyper-V role  on the Win Server 2008 R2. I have selected the option of Virtualization under the Processer Settings under Virtual Machine Settings. However, I believe I also have to enable Virtualization in the BIOS of the VM.

Please advise how to get inot the BIOS of the VM.

I understand the .vmx has a lot of BIOS settings. Can we do any modifications here?

Regards,

Anupam

This won't work. Currently, the only VMware product that's able to pass VT (which is required for Hyper-V) to a virtual machine is ESXi 5.0 installed natively on VT enabled hardware.
