Unable to ping/access host from vmguests

Hi All,

I have VMware Workstation 10 running on Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard host computer HP Proliant Gen8 Microserver, the proliant has two physical NIC interfaces and are both configured and enabled in NIC Teaming interface.

My Host is able to access any network device in the network (except for any of it's bridged vmguests) and any network device in the network is able to access the host (except for bridged vmguests).

There are no firewalls enabled on any of the guests or the host.

I have a windows guest and Linux CentOS guest and both are unable to ping or access the host machine and the host machine is unable to ping these guests

- Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard

- Linux Ubuntu 64-bit

I've use google search to see if anyone else has come across this problem, found a finger print match (almost) but all the suggestions don't seem to help.

VMware Workstation Bridged Network Host UnReachable - Super User

I don't want to disable the NIC Teaming on the host, I want to continue to use NIC Teaming ( I suspect the cause of this problem might be with NIC Teaming).

All guests are bridged and are all on the same subnet (192.168.0.xxx) with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 as is the Host.

Host is 192.168.0.110 255.255.255.0 with default gw 192.168.0.1

My Guest is 192.168.0.120 255.255.255.0 gw 192.168.0.1

I ping my guest from host and get:

C:\Users\Administrator>ping theutl

Pinging theutl.jst.local [192.168.0.120] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.

Ping statistics for 192.168.0.120:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

I ping host from guest and get:

C:\Users\Administrator>ping thebox

Pinging thebox.jst.local [192.168.0.110] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.0.120: Destination host unreachable.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this issue?  Why is the host and guests unable to communicate over the network?

Could you check that if the "Bridged to" list in the "Virtual Network Editor UI" contains your NicTeam connections -- ([03]: Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Driver) ?  If yes, would you please select to bridge to the NicTeam connections and have a try ? thanks
