Unable to ping VM machine from the network

I am running VM workstation on a CentOS 5.2 machine. I have a XP vm. I can do everything I need to do from the VM XP. I am unable to ping the VM from anywhere else on the network. IP address, Subnet and gateway are correct on both the Linux and VM. Any ideas?

Have you disabled the XP firewall?

What network mode - bridged, nat, host-only, other?

Hello Flyerdude,

Yes, the Windows XP firewall is the most likely suspect. If disabling it does not work, then please provide the additional information that RDPetruska requested.
