Unable to open VM file.

I had another thread that I opened a while ago, and that issue got resolved.

VMWorkstaion 6.05 running windows XP SP2

I tried to open a vm yesterday morning and the system crashed (blue screen). I rebooted the computer and when I tried to start the VM, it got the following error

"File not found: XXXXX.vmdk

this file is required to power on this virtual machine. If this file was moved, please provide its new location."

I am able to see and select the file, but I keep getting the same message. The hard disk shows 0 bytes, which is not right. I tried to create a new VM and then create a new Hard disk using an existing XXXX.vmdk disk, and I get the following error "The file specified is not a virtual disk".

There are two files under the old vmware directory

NewRockwell - vmware disk type file, date modified 11/4/2008 7:13am, size 449 bytes

NewRockwell-flat - vmware disk type file, date modified 11/3/2008 5:22am, size 16.0 Gbytes

I need help restoring this VM, I have a lot of important information that I need.

Any help will be appreciated.

Luis
