Unable to obtain any level of pre-sales support!

Is this typical? I was evaluating VMWare Workstation for Linux and hit a compile issue after a Kernel update three days prior to the expiration of the evaluation. Prior to the Kernel update to 2.6.24.3-12 (Fedora 😎 I was able to compile and use the application. Perhaps I can consider myself lucky to have hit this before purchasing. I submitted a support ticket on March 7th, 2008 and as of today, the status is still "Unassigned". What is the "Communities" experience in obtaining product support? Has anyone else out there encountered this and if so, resolved the issue?

Are you using a supported Linux distribution & kernel version that is listed in the documentation?
