If you are using "Host-Only" virtual networking you will be only able to communicate with the host. You need to use Bridged or NAT to access the internet from the virtual machine.

Post the output from " ipconfig /all " from the Windows host

Post the output from " ifconfig -a " from the Linux guest

Post the .vmx file from the virtual machine

Thanks, I am using NAT now. I was using Host only because sometimes I do not have an internet conexcion and I read that in order to communicato host and guest when no physical conection is available you have to use host only. Maybe it is that if you use Bridge and no network conection then you can not communicate with the guest.

Anyway, I have it as NAT. Regardless of having a physical connection to the internet, the host and guest can see each other at the ip/network level.

Thanks
