VMWare Workstation 9.0.2 build-1031769, Windows 7 64bit Home Premium host, Windows XP 32bit SP3 guest running on a Lenovo T400 w/8GB RAM.
Whenever I connect my Android-based smartphone to the host via USB, the virtual NIC in the Windows XP guest disconnects temporarily, then reconnects (acquiring its DHCP address, etc). As far as I can tell, these two devices should be completely unrelated.
Is there there some way to prevent this?
