I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit (Build 7600) 6.1.7600 with VMWare Workstation 7.1.0 build-261024.
When I connect one of my USB drives to the host computer, it lists in the "Devices and Printers" page as a VMware USB Device. It has an exclamaiton splash. The device (a patriot memory stick) will show up this way whether or not I have VMware running. I can take the memory stick out, reboot the host and put the memory stick back in and it will show back up in Windows as a VMware USB Device.
1. I have tried installing the device on different USB ports
2. I have tried clearing the driver out by deleting it from the Device Manager.
3. I can disconnect and reconnect the device without any problems to any guest OS that I install on this computer.
What should I try next?
