Hi,
I've upgraded vmware workstation from 6.5.3 to 7.0 on a Windows 7 x64 laptop.
Since upgrading vmware workstation, I can no longer access vmnet interfaces from my host machine.
In the virtual network settings for vmnet1, for example, I have host only and 192.168.200.0 subnet 255.255.255.0 without a local DHCP Server
My virtual machines using this network can talk to each other, but the host machine can't connect!
In Windows, I have asked for a fixed IP address 192.168.200.1 with a subnet of 255.255.255.0
Any ideas?

I have an identical problem., I have installed Workstation 7 on Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit version. I am able to ping between the VMs within the workstation, however I am not able to ping from the host to VMs or VM to Host ???
Also I have installed ESX4 on one of the virtual machines, I have assigned Manual Ip 192.168.1.103 ,however i am not able to access it from the host.
I have tried all the network options, Bridged, Nat, Host only etc
Any Help will be greatly appreciated,
Thx in advance.
Try temporarily disabling any "offload" settings on the Host's Network Card to see if that makes a difference. This KB may help: http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1015940
Also, when you install VMware Workstation on a Windows 7 Host, the two new virtual network interfaces installed by VMware will trigger the Host Windows Firewall into the most restrictive "Public" profile.
