Sorry, if this is already posted somehwere, looked and didn't find anything that fixed any of the problems. I am running OpenSUSE 11.1 with kernel 2.6.27.7-9-pae running VMware workstation 6.5. I am getting the following messages when trying to power on a virtual machine.
'Could not open /dev/vmmon: Is a directory.
Please make sure that the kernel module `vmmon' is loaded.'
'Failed to initialize monitor device.'
'Unable to change virtual machine power state: Cannot find a valid peer process to connect to.'
'Failed to reply to the dialog: Internal error'
If anyone has any insight it would be greatly appreciated.
