The VM is frozen and can't do safe eject after trying to connect a Western Digital Hard USB 3.0 to an Ubuntu using Vmware workstation 15 player

I was trying to connect a Western Digital Hard USB 3.0 to VM of Ubunto iso image using Vmware workstation 15 player,

However it didn't connect and the image is frozen now can't do a shutdown or do eject of the drive from the image.

(It mentioned that connecting a drive to guest OS might damage the drive as well !!!!)

This is normal, because you come out with a forcing, so it is the default message.
