I am trying to test Hamachi to see if it is suitable for my company. I want to test it using the various guest machines running under VMWare WS 7 running on a Win7 machine. The test is simple really. First I would assign a particular guest network access through NAT in WS7 network config. This way, the bridged guest cannot see the NAT guest. Then with Hamachi installed on both guests and activated, these two guests can communicate and share files.
The problem is for some reason, the bridge guest and NAT guest can see each other just fine. They can ping back and forth. This does not simulate the real life environment that Hamachi is used for which is the two hosts are separated by the Internet. Basically I try to simulate the Internet using the various guests systems under WS7. Any help is appreciated.
