Support for Windows Server 2008

In release 6.0.2, support for Windows Server 2008 is still experimental, can anyone tell me when Windows Server 2008 will be fully supported?

Unfortunately, we can not comment on release dates.

All I can tell you is that a future release will have full support.

While they can't officially comment, this was posted just today:

VMware et al. won't support Windows Server 2008 immediately

Although it is for ESX and not for Workstation, it does give an idea that we'll have to wait awhile.

Wow, well thats a pain ... maybe it has something to do with Hyper-V being in Server 2008 although I'll still likely use VMWare Workstation for what I need.

You are better off waiting for the official word from VMware regarding the support for W2K8 and Workstation.
