Start VM from two vmdk disk with reserved partition divided from boot disk

Hello community,

I want to restore a VM from a Storage Craft backup.

I have converted the 2 backup files into 2 vmdk files: one with the reserved partition and one with disk C.

When I try to create the VM, vmware see two different disks and the reserved partition don't find the C partition and doesn't  start.

How can I do?

Thanks a lot!

If the following assumptions are correct the next step would be to boot into a Windows Setup CD, launch the repair cmd option and try to fix the BCDstore.
- your VM is using a recent Windows - win7 or later
- the "reserved partition" is a Windows boot partition

Thank you for the answer. The virtual machine is with Windows 2012 server, but I've resolved from Shadow protect backup software.

With an internal funciotion I've restored the virtual machine directly to my vCenter system, without loss data and time.

Thanks again.
