Start DUALMONITOR + Fullscreen

Hi folks,

I am using RHEL5 as host OS and would like to start the guest in fullscreen using dual monitor mode!

Up til now I did it the following way.

I started up the guest (Windows), activated the "Extended Desktop" function within the guest.

Then I shutted down the guest and the "Extended Desktop" settings were saved.

After starting up the guest again VMware WS seems to remember the settings, but I got the two displays in a window and I have to press the "Add a monitor to full screen view" every time.

Is it a bug? Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you! Smiley Happy

Hi again. =:)

I don't honestly know if it'll be something that will be provided in the future. If you have a support contract with VMware, though, I'd recommend submitting a request for it if it's something you need!

Hi repllccax, currently, there's not a way to start up Workstation or Player and go straight into multimon mode, sorry. The best you can do is to start it up with "-X" or "--power-on-in-fullscreen" as an argument and then click the "add monitor" button. =:)

Hi,

will it be possible in future?

As you can see in my other thread I want to hide the toolbar.

Oh, ok ok.

I have to ask our purchasing departement for any VMware contracts.

Thank You!
