Spliting Vmware file

Hi,

Wanted to know the is there any utility which will split the VMware file in small pieces, so that I can copy it on DVD & rebuilt the original file on destination machine.

Why not just use Winrar? It will allow you to create files to fit on DVD.

1). Start Winrar

2). Click Add and select the folder you want

3). Select 'Split to volumes'

4). Name the filer

5). Hit Ok.

Done.

Just wanted reconfirm will WINRAR create any issue after rebuilt of original file? Will virtual machine work properly after rebuit with Winrar?

Hey Walter,

Provided you include all the necessary files, you will encounter no problems. I would however ensure that the VM in question is shutdown at the time and not suspended or running.
