[Solved] VM - Graphics Acceleration 3D

Good day,
I'm sorry, I'm not a developer.

Wanted help because I'm having crashes in the VM.
It just hangs up the Linux OS making the dead.
I can not do absolutely anything after catching but to use the cursor.

Someone had the idea would that be?
Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Thanks for using WS.

I'm wondering your problems is related to 3D enable issue. Please help to check the following options:

1.First you can try to disable 3D enable by make sure the "Accelerate 3D graphics" checkbox is unchecked, which you can access by Settings->Display, it's on the top of the right panel.

Does this fix your issue?

2. if you still want to use 3D enable features, please make sure you have installed the right driver for your graphic driver on your host.

On linux host please run the following command to make sure the driver is installed(just a sample):

-------------------------------------------

"glxinfo"

check for the following fields:

direct rendering: Yes

server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation

OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation

OpenGL renderer string: GeForce GTX 460/PCIe/SSE2

OpenGL core profile version string: 4.3.0 NVIDIA 340.32

OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.30 NVIDIA via Cg compiler

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If all the options is not work, please provide more information about your environment:

1. what's your host? your graphic card model? your graphic driver?

2. vmx file of your guest VM.

3. vmware.log of your guest VM.

Thanks,

Rachel

And there is no drive available for this version of fedora.
Also enter the .vmx file VMWare the following line:

mks.gl.allowBlacklistedDrivers = "TRUE"

I do not use video card more, only Intel HD Graphics.

Thank you very much for your attention.
Hug!

Leveraging would like to congratulate the VMWare.
Because regarding the performance, memory consumption and Graphics Acceleration is really amazing.

1. Intel HD Graphics is an integrated graphics cards.  Intel doesn't provide installable driver for Linux platform.

you can go to your PC distributor for help to see if they provide such kind of driver.

2. Intel provides development drivers for Intel graphics to the open source community. you can reference to  Intel® Download Center

for more information.

3. I don't have experience on this. generally we only use Intel Graphics card on Windows host. It's more easy to install the driver for Windows Host.

4. There is no need to config vmx file if you have the right driver installed on Host.
