I'm having some issues. I'm attempting to setup an exchange server on ESX 3.5 U3 / VC 2.5 U3. I have a dedicated LUN on our Compellent SAN, all partitions are aligned both to the OS and to the SAN. For some reason, when I try to remove a snapshot, even a small 10 second snap takes over 20 minutes to complete. It just hangs at 95%, when it's writing the data. (VC times out) This even happens with small 16 MB snaps. One thing that stands out on this system from the rest is it has 8 volumes attached: 1 for the OS; 1 for the PageFile; 3 for EDB storage; & 3 for the exch logs. I'm considering rethinking my architecture, but that's a lot of work for speculation.
