Windows 10 host and Windows 10 VM with two snapshots.
There are three .vmdk files in the VM folder:
- VM.vmdk
- VM-000001.vmdk
- VM-000002.vmdk
Every time I revert to a snapshot, even with the VM off, the third file's name changes. It alternates between VM-000002.vmdk and VM-000003.vmdk.
At one point the VM wouldn't start, it said that VM-000002.vmdk is missing. So I renamed VM-000003.vmdk to VM-000002.vmdk and then it worked again. This only happened once so far, and I can't reproduce it.
But I also wonder if the renaming of that file itself is normal and intended behavior.
