Shared folder / add per batch

Hello,

is there an automated way to add shared folders to an virtual machine that is powered off (I am aware it is possible to use vmrun.exe for machines that are powered on)?

Thank you!

Well, to change the settings of a VM which is powered off, just edit the vmx text file.  So, if you have any automated scripts which can modify files, then you can do it.

Hi,

You could try the REST API, not sure if it works for VMs that are shut down, but I would think so (also surprised that it wouldn't work with vmrun for shutdown vm's, but I don't use the shared folder feature via vmrun, so no idea)
