Share ext4 drive from linux with windows virtual machine

Hi,
I'm currently testing the software and it feels smooth and works pretty well. I've installed vmware in my linux machine (ubuntu 20.04 right now). I've installed windows 10 and it works perfectly. The issue is that I'm trying to share some drives (folder) from linux with windows through the options and these folders are not being detected by the windows virtual machine. These drives are formatted in ext4, is that the problem?
For instance, in virtualbox this share config works just fine.

The underlying filesystem type is irrelevant. Here's the settings I use on my Windows 11 VM (host is EndeavourOS) :

Did you install the VMware Tools for Windows?

So by "the software" and "vmware" it sounds like you actually mean VMware Workstation.

You should state whether you're using the Pro or Player version, and whether it's v16 or earlier.

A moderator will be along to move your thread to the correct area, the {code} area is for SDK matters.

Thanks, it was as easy as installing vmware tools. The ext4 drives are now in shared folder in windows. 🙂
