I'm trying to renew our imaging solution and make it a lot better than today. (For physical computers)
I've setup 2 images already, one with processor type ACPI_UP and another with processor type ACPI_MP as processor types. However around 15% of the computers still use the processor type ACPI. I want to use 3 base images. The reason I dont use only ACPI and ACPI_UP is because I preinstall software that is installed differently if its 1 or 2 cores.
Is there any way to "dumb" down what the VM can see related to CPU features to achieve the "dumbest" cpu option possible, ACPI in this case?
