Same MACaddress on different host

Hi,

I've created a virtual machine that I host on my computer (computer a) and copied it on an other computer (computer b).

On computer B, I modified guest OS to join domain on an other name, but network adapter in guest os on virtual machine on computer b has the same mac address than the one on computer a...why? Both virtual machines are on different host. Because of that, I got network conflit when both virtual machines are open.

somebody has a solution, I want that each virtual machine has its real macadress.

thanks.

When you copy a VM and start it you will be asked if you want to create a new UUID or keep it.

If you decide to keep it this is the result.

Shut down WS and edit the MAC address in the VMX file.

The UUID isn't a problem as long as you don't try to run 2 VMs with the same UUID on the same host.
