Run a script after AutoFit Guest

Is it possible to run a script after a Guest OS has been "Autofit"? I am running Suse Linux Enterprise Server in VMWare Workstation 6.5.2. When I initially login to the desktop I have a default screen resolution of 1024X768. When I maximize the VMware screen, the guest's desktop is automatically resized. Once that is done, I want to execute a script.

From what I see by looking at the events in the VMware Tools GUI I would say that is not possible. Resizing is not listed as an event there.
