Hi,
I have a virtual Windows 2003 machine (Let's call it SERVER) configured in a seperate LAN. Now I'd like to route over the Windows Vista VMware Workstation (let's call it WORKSTATION) traffic from my LAN to the SERVER. "IPEnableRouter" is turned on on WORKSTATION already, without any change. WORKSTATION is not routing the traffic.
Here's the config from SERVER (virtual machine):
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : VMware Accelerated AMD PCNet Adapter

Welcome to the forums?
Is Vista able to route? I thought only Windows server OS are able to...
As far as I know Vista can only do NAT routing and if you use that you better use the VMware NAT function. What you need is a real LAN router. If you have a W2K3 server available as a guest you can create your router on this machine to route between physical and "host-only" network.
