I run a WinXP guest with windbg attached (it runs on the host).
Now when I attempt to revert to a snapshot, the GUI often hangs dead and needs to be killed.
This occurs more often while some breakpoints are set on the guest.
After I kill and restart the GUI, it can connect again to the same vmware_vmx instance and repeated attempt to restore the snapshot may succeed (sometimes takes 2-3 times).
Is this a known problem?
A workaround that works for me is to:
close windbg, then kill the GUI (or exit with the VM running in background) then restart GUI and repeat going to the snapshot until success. Then restart windbg.
