1. create new VM with a virtual disk large enough for the content of the wim-file
2. boot the VM into a Windows 7 LiveCD
3. if the LiveCD has a apartitioning GUI use that - otherwise create a new primary partition with diskpart
4. connect the LiveCD to the networkshare where you stored the wim
5. if the LiveCD has gimagex.exe use that - otherwise restore the wim via commandline tool imagex.exe
or - if you have a Windows 7 VM already
1. add another virtual disk to the existing VM
2. partition the new vmdk
3. restore the wim-file with gimagex.exe or per commandline imagex.exe
