Resize full screen toolbar

Hi team,

I wonder whether I can resize the full screen toolbar in Workstation 9?

Since the tabs have been included the toolbar covers much of the desktop. I don't like to hide the toolbar.

Now I want to remove the tabs and I want to resize the toolbar in full screen mode.

Is there any possibility to do so?

many thanks for the help

Yes, you can. However there's no option in the WS GUI, you need to edit the preferences file. Quoting from this thread:

In your preferences.ini file add a line:

pref.commandBar.fullScreen.width = "x"

where "x" is say "50" (defaults to "70" I think).

Preferences.ini can be found at:

c:\users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\VMware\

for a Vista/Win7 host.

In Linux the file is in /home/user/.vmware/ . Also edit the file with Workstation GUI closed or with the VMs all powered off.
