thats a badly written kb

from the context it must be instructions for inside the VM as it mentions the normal soundcard for VMs - the Creative Sound Blaster PCI

Not having much luck with getting recording working. Configured stereo mixer in VM but still no sound.

Might be moot anyway as we're trying record a video from a Adobe Connect Pro meeting (our meeting BTW!) as the frame rate from the ACP in-built "download as video" feature is too low.

However, record video from VMware workstation isn't much better even at the highest quality so might need another video capture method.

Cheers, Rob.

for good captures I would use WS 6.5.3 on a XP or 2k3 32bit host

by the way - did you set

mks.movie.config.high.recordSound = "true"

in config.ini / vmx-file ?

No, didn't add that switch but will do.

But was doing the test on the latest WS 7 and frame rate was still not good enough for capturing a video.

Cheers, Rob.
