Proxifier on main system, VMware dont use it,why?

Im running proxifier on main system(win7),and every program using internet via proxifier and have socks ip.

But VMware still have ip of my original ISP,why?

In profixier window i see vmware icon,but still no action,same ip as my ISP,why?

Hello comunuser,

Welcome at the vmware community forums.

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with your proxy tool, but your usage of "socks" does give me hints on how it works.

VMware Workstation does not operate like an average program, it sits at very low system level and communicates directly at the networking stack.

If you run a virtual machine then you should treat that virtual machine as another physical machine, including proxy configuration. So in order for your virtual machine to use a proxy, you will have to install proxifier in your guest operating systems as well.
