Problems with virtual networking - Host only network drops if no phisical interface on host is connected

I have this problem with latest version of workstation and player. This didn't happen with older version of workstation (maybe <= 9.0, not sure).

I have a windows share on my host.

If I'm connected to a phisical network (wifi or ethernet) everything is ok and I can see the folder from other pc on the network and on my virtual machines. I can also ping the host IP on the "host only" network interface from VMs.

If I disconnect the host from the phisical network then I can't see the share from my virtual machine and can't even ping the host machine IP of the "host only" network interface from the VM (and obviously from the network, but this is not the problem).

As I reconnect I can again ping the host.

This is a problem for me as I want to access host folders even whe not connected on home network.

I don't want use shared folders function of VMware because I want to share also with the real network (when connected).

What is your Host/Guest ? And would you please patse the result of 'ipconfig' on your host?

Host is Win7 SP1, guests are win7 and xp

ipconfig output on host when not connected to any phisical network (there are some VPN virtual adapters, the phisical networks are 2nd and 3rd):

when not connected to any phisical network, does the guest VM have ip address of 192.168.133.x ? and does the VM can ping 192.168.133.1 ?  Make sure you have disabled the firewall in the host. If not, please attach the

result of "route print" for both guest and host.

Ip address doesnt change when disconnecting host from phisical network. Even after disconnecting the VM from the virtual network and reattaching, DHCP service on host give correct IP to VM (192.168.133.xxx)

route on VM doesn't change on connecting/disconnecting host.

Host routes changes only about phisical network routes and global gateway routes.

No changes with firewall completely off on Host and guest
