Problem with out of disk space when should be fine

Running Vista Business as the Host OS, Running Windows XP Professional as the guest OS, running VMWare 6.0.45731.

I have am starting to get out of disk space errors on my virtual drive. The drive is showing as being 50 gig. The virtual machine was created using 100 Gig as the drive space. The physical HD that this machine is installed on has 192 Gig of Free space on the drive. I did not preallocate the space for this virtual drive. Is there some reason that the drive would not automatically expand the virtual disk up to the maximum defined on this physical drive. The controller shows as a IDE controller for the virtual machine. The Physical drive is a SATA 2 drive attached to a SATA 2 controller

Best Regards

It's possible that you or someone else has created a snapshot(S).

Please post the list of files in the virtual machine directory and include the files sizes.

Also post the .vmx file from the virtual machine located in the virtual machine directory.
