Problem with multiple LAN Segments in Same team

Hi,

here is my setup. VMware workstation 6.0

I have created a team with 2 LAN segments with Bandwith 1 Mbps and 512 kbps and assigned 1 Virtual machine per LAN segment,

Assigned statis IP addres of range 192.168.191.2 and 3 each of the Virtual machine.

Problem is after I start the team, the two virtual machines do not ping each other.

What is the solutions.

Thanks,

Sanjay

If they are on separate VMnets, (presumably with different subnet IP addressing), there should be a router between VMnets.

Also, one if the virtual machines would have wrong IP.

Otherwise put them on the same VMnet switch (or a hub, to be precise).

If it is a Windows network you are making I suggest promoting one Windows server to be used as an RRAS router. You can add multiple NIC's and route between different subnets and even bridge one NIC to your physical adapter for connection to the outside world.

That is right. You must have a router between different networks.

There are many solutions to that, including Linux, Windows, (virtual or physical) and hardware routers.
