I'm using an Ubuntu 18.04 guest on a Windows 10 Enterprise host, with VMWare workstation 15.5 Pro. I have on a board an FTDI device converting UART to USB device on which I need to run a console. When the USB is connected to the host I run a PuTTY console and it works fine. When I connect the USB to the guest and run minicom only the console output works, the input never gets back to the device (I run a h/w debugger on my board and the console RX never generates an interrupt). Any ideas?
