Problem after VMWare installation

I have Windows 8.1 Update 1. I'm not 100% sure that is the cause of problem, but after installed VMware Workstation, File History no longer recognizes external HD, message is: cannot find usable device. The external HD is always connected to PC for backup and storage. I have to physically disconnect and reconnect the device and update the window several times, until it is recognized.

I've solved. I've created a second virtual HD 50Gb SATA preallocated in one single file, then I cloned the OS to the new disk and then I deleted the old virtual hard disk from running VM Workstation.

Finally I started VM from bios and changed the boot priority. All ok, now the VM run better and does not grow in a abnormal huge, but it's exactly like physical HD :smileylaugh:
