Currently I have implemented several physical machines that are running windows 7 on SSD's. The physical machines have 4 Gigs of ram and are 32 bit operating systems. A virtual machine running xp sp3 has been depolyed -- these xp virtual machines are running 24-7. Recently, these physical machines have begun to hang -- the rough time frame is between 1 - 3 weeks after continuous operation. The host is not frozen, only the guest operatining system. Once the VM is restarted, everything is fine until approx 1 - 3 weeks pass, then the problem repeats itself. Any thoughts?
Currently -- I have just disabled system restore on the host as well as two services : superfetch and disk defragment. I have to wait 1- 3 weeks before determining if this had any effect. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
