I use VMware Workstation to test and troubleshoot PXE image deployment. It's worked well for years.
Last week, after updating to Windows 10.0.19043 Build 19043 and Workstation 16.1.2 build-17966106 (vmnet 14.0.0.5), my PXE boots from Workstation either fail, or if they succeed they're slow on the order of many minutes. I think the delay is with the DHCP PXE request, since once the "CLIENT MAC ADDR:" posts the boot proceeds normally.

PXE booting physical devices and VMs on other hypervisors (KVM) work fine. My virtual NIC is bridged (automatic), and I’ve try setting “ethernet*.virtualDev” to e1000, e1000e, vlance, vmxnet, and vmxnet3 with no change in behavior. Before I set up WireShark or a DHCP diagnostic tool, do any of you have other ideas?
The system has a AMD Zen2 3800X and a Realtek NIC (Driver 10.31.828.2018).
Thanks
