Order of HDD/SSDs in Devices list - a little visual enhancements - VMware Workstation Pro 16

Hello,

I have 3 HDDs in guest. And order of HDDs in Devices is somehow in disorder. As you can see. Is there a simple way to change order of listed Hard disks?

Yes - remove VM from inventory and clodse it in Workstation.
As admin edit order of disks by editing the vmx-file directy - use NotepadPlus.
If you never tried this before create some dummy VMs for practice ...

Thanks, I already thought about it.

But whats defining an order of HDDs? there are different types as below:

nvme0.present = "TRUE"
nvme0:0.fileName = "w10_rw.vmdk"
nvme0:0.redo = ""
nvme0.pciSlotNumber = "224"
nvme0:1.fileName = "w10-16GB.vmdk"
nvme0:1.present = "TRUE"
nvme0:1.redo = ""
scsi0:1.fileName = "C:\w10-disk.vmdk"
scsi0:1.redo = ""
scsi0:0.mode = "independent-nonpersistent"
scsi0:1.present = "TRUE"
scsi0:0.present = "TRUE"
