Open a VM in Linux that is created in Windows

Hi guys

I just installed VMware Workstation in Ubuntu and I'm totally new on Linux. I'm trying to open an existing virtual machinein Ubuntu that I created in Window. I get an error mesage that says:

Unable to open "/home/vmuser/Vmware/ADServer1/ADServer1.vmx": Dictionary problem.

Can anyone help me? Whats wrong?

Most likely it is a path/file naming syntax issue, as Windows and *nix have different naming conventions. It could also be one of the device names if you use anything other than "auto detect" for devices. Post the vmx file contents.
