Only one processor shows up on a dual core proc

I've installed Workstation on a dual core box before, and it shows two processors, so I can dedicate one to the host and one to the VM. I just installed on an Intel Core 2 Duo, and Workstation shows one proc. Is this expected?

Thanks,

Alan

Which Workstation version do you use?

Does VMware Workstation only see one CPU or the virtual guest?

The host OS can see both CPU, can't it?

"Which Workstation version do you use?" 7.1

"Does VMware Workstation only see one CPU or the virtual guest?" In the properties for the VM, it only shows 1 in the drop down for CPU.

"The host OS can see both CPU, can't it?" The CPU type shows up as Core2 Duo (which it is).

Is the host OS Windows? If so, open the task manager and check if you see two processor utilization graphs.
