Hoping someone here can assist. Here is the issue with my VMWare Workstation 15/16 (AND Player and Fusion) systems:
- Using VMWare Workstation 15/16, I create an OVA from a local VM on my system. The VM has a sound card installed and working.
- The OVA is created successfully.
- When I import that OVA and create a VM from it within VMWare Workstation/Player/Fusion, all the other devices (display, networking, etc.) are there but no sound card.
- When I use that same OVA in VirtualBox, the sound card appears/is created as expected.
The VM uses open-vm-tools and is a Xubuntu 20.04 system.
