OS not found error with Workstation 12

Dear Gents

I am experiencing annoying problem whilst I try to boot my Kubuntu iso image I am getting always error OS NOT FOUND!

See image bellow.

I found lot of advice saying to check id CD-ROM drive has checked option Connected and Connected at power ON

Funny thing is that connected is greyed unchecked! I am not able actually change it to connected checked!

Do anybody know hot to solve this annoying issue and get rid this crap?

Please post a screenshot from the CD-ROM settings screen, i.e. the window which shows up when you press the "Change CD/DVD Settings" in the state shown in your previous post. In addition to this attach the VM's vmware.log file to a reply post.

Have you verified your download of the Kubuntu image against posted checksums?  If the image download was corrupted, it won't be a valid bootable CD.
