Number max VM's on workstation

Hello,

I want to know the maximum number of VMs that can be started on a vmware workstation but I can't find it. 
I have an error message and I do not understand why.
I saw a post on the subject but it is not clear.

Sorry my english is not very good but i am getting better.

Hi,

The number of VMs that you can run depends mostly on the resources of your workstation (Ram, Cpu, etc. ..)

what error are you talking about?

There is a maximum number of virtual machines which can be run simultaneously - this is due to a limited number of resources available on Windows... IIRC, it is 32, as there are 64 of whatever it is that each VM uses 2 of.

Hi,

VMware Workstation 12 Pro Maximum number of standard virtual Macines error

So it is limited by Windows API WaitForMultipleObjects.

IOW that API call can only watch 64 objects for signals max.

Not that Microsoft has documented that particular limit at the above MSDN link Smiley Happy
