Now that Shared VMs feature is removed from Workstation 16, any way to auto start a VM without logging on to PC?

In version 15, I relied upon the ability of a shared VM to start without having to logon to the host system. Now that the shared VMs feature has been removed in version 16, is there any way to have a VM start without having to logon to the host system?

BTW, even though shared VMs has been removed as a feature, why does VMware still install the VMware Workstation service on a new install?

In another thread, according to the developer, that is a mistake which will be corrected in the next release of Workstation.

As far as auto-starting a VM, time to go back to the good old days and use something like SRVANY to turn the Workstation into a service.
