No battery indicator

Hi all, I'm running VMWare workstation on a laptop but I don't see the battery indicator in the guest. It's a Debian Linux machine if that matters. Any suggestions? Thanx in advance.

battery indicators are only visible if you use virtual hardware mark 7 - please check the version
