Networking problem

hi everybody.

I have VMWare Workstation 5.5 running on a server.

I have VMWare Player2.0.0 build-45731 running on my Machine

Both the server and my machine use adresses assigned my DHCP

Any Virtual Machine created on the server works fine and is automatically assigned the ip/dns server adresses via DHCP.

Now the problem is when i copy the virtual machine to my local machine and run it in vmware player it works fine but is unable to access the network. the ip con

Both use the bridged network option. any idea why is it happening and any solution for it ...

i tried NAT instead of Bridged and it worked. i got assigned an ip and was able to access the internet etc ...

Why is bridged not working . i need the vm to be part of the domain im on and access the network directly not via the host computers ip address

any more suggestions ?

If you are in a business environment, check with the network administrator is any restricting of the number of MAC addresses or IP's on the port you are using.
