I installed Workstation 8 on one of my machines and have 2 VMs on it. The issue is when I try to copy a file from my main PC (which has VM Workstation) to my other PC I am only getting about 300kb/s. This is NOT copying from within the VM to the other PC, its from the main PC itself. I should get local lan speeds not 200-300kb/s. My question is when I was running player in the netiworking on Windows I noticed the adapters were disabled. Are they supposed to say disabled in Network and Sharing center?
Hi encino
Welcome to the forums.
Its generally depend upon matter you are transferring .
If is this images or multimedia then definitely will be slow .
Which networking mode you are using?
bridge or shared?
Cheers, Udin
I am using Bridged. I disabled both vmware adapters both in WIndows, rebooted and now my bandwidth is back to local lan speeds.
